Tone
Rims: A Cedar
Mountain exclusive, developed by Lo Gordon, the all-rosewood
tone rim gives a rich, clean sound. Nominally 11" x 9/16"
rosewood with a decorative inlay band and a hand-rubbed varnish
finish. Tone rims fitted with mahogany necks do not have caps.
Those with curly maple necks have curly maple caps and dowel
sticks.
Necks: Mahogany necks are filled
& finished to complement the rims, while the curly maple
necks are normally shaded to complement the rims. All have a
hand rubbed varnish finish, two way adjustable truss rod, planetary
tuners, geared fifth tuner, bone nut, spike on fifth string at
'A', mother of pearl side dots, with an ebony fingerboard and
peghead overlay.
Dowel
sticks: The
necks and the rims are joined with a dowel stick fashioned of
the same wood and finished like the neck.
Hardware:
Nickel plated,
no-knot tailpiece, Vega-style arm rest, die cast shoes with
twenty four hooks and nuts securing a grooved tension hoop around
a frosted head.
