Tone Rims: A Cedar Mountain exclusive, developed by Lo Gordon, the all-rosewood tone rim gives a rich, clean sound. Nominally 11" x 9/16" rosewood with a decorative inlay band and a hand-rubbed varnish finish. Tone rims fitted with mahogany necks do not have caps. Those with curly maple necks have curly maple caps and dowel sticks.

Necks: Mahogany necks are filled & finished to complement the rims, while the curly maple necks are normally shaded to complement the rims. All have a hand rubbed varnish finish, two way adjustable truss rod, planetary tuners, geared fifth tuner, bone nut, spike on fifth string at 'A', mother of pearl side dots, with an ebony fingerboard and peghead overlay.

Dowel sticks: The necks and the rims are joined with a dowel stick fashioned of the same wood and finished like the neck.

Hardware: Nickel plated, no-knot tailpiece, Vega-style arm rest, die cast shoes with twenty four hooks and nuts securing a grooved tension hoop around a frosted head.

Weighs less than 7 lbs.

"This is the kind of banjo all frailers should have. The neck and fingerboard are lovely, it plays well all the way up the fretboard, and the intonation is accurate."
